'Wonka' beats 'Godzilla' at Ireland box office

"Wonka" had a strong second weekend at the UK and Ireland box office, taking £6.3 million ($8.09 million), according to data released by comScore.

After spending two weeks at the top, the Timothée Chalamet starrer has now taken its total to £18.4 million.

The film held off a challenge from Anime Limited's "Godzilla Minus One", debuting in second place with £816,891.

In third place, in its fifth weekend, Lionsgate's "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" collected £612,656 for a total of £15.8 million.

Wish is in fourth place with a total of £6.6 million, with Napoleon completing the top 5 with a total of £12.4 million.
