Ingredients: – Prime rib roast (choose prime or choice grade, about 1 pound per person) – Salt – Pepper – Optional: herbs and spices of choice

Prepare Prime Rib: Remove from fridge and let it sit at room temperature for an hour. Pat dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and any desired spices. Allow it to rest for a few minutes for flavors to set. . 

Implementation 

Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to your desired temperature (300°F for slower cook, 325°F for medium, or 350°F for quicker roasting).

Use a Meat Thermometer: Place the meat thermometer in the center of the prime rib, avoiding contact with bones for an accurate reading.

Roast to Desired Doneness: Cook until the internal temperature is about 10 degrees lower than your desired doneness (e.g., 115°F for rare, 125°F for medium-rare)

Reverse Sear for Crust: Increase oven temperature to 550°F and return the roast for 7–10 minutes until a beautiful crust forms. 

Implimentation

Rest and Carve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Carve the prime rib and serve to your family or guests.
