Snapchat+ subscribers can create and send AI-generated images
If you are a Snapchat+ subscriber then there is good news for you! Starting December 13, 2023, Snapchat+ subscribers will be able to create and embellish AI-generated images. However, this is nothing new for Snapchat users, as the app’s “My AI” features a freemium AI-generated “Dreams” selfie effects, Bitmoji backgrounds, and more, along with a ChatGPT-powered chatbot. New AI features are now available to Snapchat Plus subscribers, one of which includes creating AI-generated images and showing them to your friends.
Snapchat+ customers can now take advantage of AI to enlarge or “zoom out” on images at the click of a button, making the social media app even more practical. For example, if you have a photo of your friend lying around, but it was taken very close, you can simply click the Crop button on the right menu, and then click the “Extend” button at the bottom. Your photo will be as per your design.

Recently, Snapchat Plus is going to provide a lot of AI features to the subscribers, it is ahead of all the social media platform which has started providing AI features. It was the first social media platform to introduce an AI chatbot after the launch of My AI in April 2023. Now Snapchat has introduced features for its Premium users to create and share AI-generated images like DALL-E, MidJourney and Stable Diffusion. Additionally, there is a possibility that Snapchat may soon offer an AI feature to fix poorly cropped photos.
Introducing AI-Powered Image Generator
Snapchat introduces AI-generated images feature Says “In just a few words, whether you use AI to create and send a snap of anything you know, it will make a friend’s day, even with the right visuals.” Be out of sight.”
This new feature for Snapchat+ subscribers is similar to the text-to-image generator where you can add a text prompt and it will generate an image based on the description given by the AK. The company that offers these AI-powered image generator features has not yet specified the foundation model behind this feature. If you understand correctly, it can create images just like DALL-E and can also be shared with your friends.

Along with introducing the Image Generator feature, the company is also introducing a new ‘Extend’ feature, as we have told you further. The Dreams feature now lets you create fantasy pictures with friends. Now you, Dreams Page choose a quantity friend, click “Done” and then you both will be able to share the generated picture. In this, users can add their friends to images and can also create friend selfies. Subscribers will get to create a pack of eight dreams every month.
While, non-subscribers only get a free trial of one pack before signing up for the service for $4 per month, all users can purchase more at $0.99 per pack.
How to use Snapchat AI features?
Here’s how to use AI features:
1. AI-Generated Images:
- First open the camera of the app
- Notice the new AI button in the toolbar on the right.
- Tap it, and you’ll be taken to a new page.
- Select one of the suggested prompts for inspiration or type your own prompt in the text field.
- Then press send.
- The AI will generate an image based on your input.
- Decorate the image if you like.
2. AI Extend Feature:
- Take a photo or add one from your photo gallery.
- Click the Crop button in the camera toolbar.
- You’ll see a new “Extend” option at the bottom.
- Tap it, and the AI will automatically make your image wider.
